Hello, I’m Hasina Ibrahim Bandukara, and I’m thrilled to share my story with you. Born and raised in Goa, India, my journey into the beauty world began at the tender age of 13. While still a student in the 7th grade, I found myself captivated by the art of beauty and grooming, which led me to a part-time job at a local beauty parlour. It was there that the owner noticed my passion and dedication, predicting that I would one day make a name for myself in this field.
As a child, I was inspired by elegant women and the iconic film star Helen. I would experiment with my mother’s lipstick and use sequins from her dupatta as eye makeup. I also loved trying out home remedies, applying henna to my long hair and using malai, haldi, and other natural ingredients on my skin.
In college, my entrepreneurial spirit flourished. I provided eyebrow shaping services to my peers for just one rupee, a fraction of the salon cost. My clear skin and long hair often prompted others to seek my beauty tips.
The 1980s marked a significant chapter in my journey. Moving to Mumbai, I worked at some of the city’s most reputed beauty parlours, gaining invaluable experience and completing professional beauty courses. In 1984, I took a bold step and opened my own full-fledged beauty parlour. We offered advanced treatments like electrolysis, galvanic facials, high frequency, and sauna baths. With a dedicated team of 10 girls, I also conducted beauty classes for many enthusiastic students.
As my reputation grew, clients frequently asked me for the secrets behind my clear skin and long hair. This demand led to the creation of my own brand of aroma oils, HASINA’S. What began as a personal endeavor soon became a widely popular brand, celebrated for its effectiveness and quality.
